Thousands of people have protested the streets of Athens against police brutality. A video on Social Media showed cops beating a young man with a baton on Saturday due to a break in Covid19 protocol. 200 mask-less people began a protest in defiance to the police’s response to the protocols. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the violence seen on Tuesday must end.

Ugandan

Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine for protests almost two months after Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled the country since 1986, was declared the victor of the Presidential election.

Tunisia

39 people have died on the coast of Tunisia today after 2 boats capsized trying to reach an island off the coast of Italy. This is the second major event regarding migrants in less than a month. Many refugees have been attempting to reach European shores to escape either the violence or the bad politics of the Pandemic. More than 20,000 people have died in the last few years due to illegal water crossings from North Africa to Europe.
