Tanzania

Tanzanian President John Magufuli is dead according to his Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Magufuli was 61 years old and was predicted to have health problems since February due to his absence from public life. Magufuli was a large critic of the Covid virus and has claimed that the nation has defeated the pandemic through 3 days of prayer. It’s unclear if his death was related to Covid but the nation has not updated its death toll number since May 2020.

US

The United States is pointing a finger at Vladimir Putin for attempting to interfere with election results. US intelligence reported that the Kremlin attempted to sway the election towards Donald Trump. The report claims that the Russian government attempted to show Biden in a negative light using multiple media platform ad campaigns. Biden also called Putin a “killer” and vowed to make sure he doesn’t get away with it.

Palestine

The Palestinian authority has received over 60,000 vaccines through the World health Organization. 20,000 of those will be shipped to Gaza while the remaining 40,000 will be distributed to frontline and elderly individuals in the West Bank. Palestine’s government has the United Nations and Israel’s efforts to thank for the shipment of the vaccines.
